BANGON PILIPINAS: A FUNDRAISER

On November 8,  the largest storm to ever make landfall in recorded history, hit the Philippines. Everyone braced for the worst, but no one could have imagined how devastating the storm would be.  As the storm approached the Philippines, 2-foot high waves and 300kph winds swept away homes and infrastructure.  Those who did not have secure shelter were either washed away or crushed by flying debris of wood and metal.  The storm only lasted for 3 hours, but the devastation was catastrophic, and the provinces of Samar, Leyte, and Cebu were hit hardest.  Although reports vary, many estimate the death toll to be well in the thousands.  Those who survived have gone for days without food, water, and much needed relief.

Now is the time for action. This weekend has been labeled #yolandaactionweekend by many. We need to restore, rebuild and help raise the spirits of our fellow countrymen affected by the storm. Many have already given aid, but it is still not enough.

The WIP team dedicates these shirts, however humble an offering, to the victims and affected families of typhoon Yolanda.
We are pre-selling these shirts at 500 pesos each, all proceeds of which will be given to the victims of the typhoon via the Gawad Kalinga Community Development Foundation’s Operation Walang Iwanan, a relief operation for  areas affected by Typhoon Yolanda. GK, along with its networks and relationships in local communities, is offering immediate relief to affected areas and will be in these communities for long-term rebuilding efforts. Each shirt purchased can feed 6 families for one whole day.
To order a shirt, simply register/sign in on our website, go to our PH shop, and add the items of your choosing to your cart. You can choose between BLACK and WHITE. You have the options to have it shipped anywhere locally (shipping fees apply), or you can visit us and pick it up for free at WIP HQ (located at Unit 1214, Herrera tower, Rufino st. salcedo village, Makati).

We would like to end the pre-sale period on November 22 so as to be able to immediately send the proceeds to those in need.

Shirts will be shipped out and available by DECEMBER 07, 2013.

In the true spirit of Bayanihan, let us all do our part in rebuilding our country.

Walang Iwanan.  Bangon Pilipinas!
