The WIP team has tackled another collaborative effort this year! This time we collaborated with Ultimate Fighting Championship fighter, Mark Munoz, along with his team. Munoz, also known as The Filipino Wrecking Machine, is a Mixed Martial artist hailing from Vallejo, California. He attended Oklahoma State University where he competed in NCAA wrestling. “Muñoz captured two Big 12 titles and earned back-to-back All-America honors at 197 pounds, including his NCAA title as a senior in 2001. He became the first Filipino-American at the Division I Level to win a National Championship. He also made the NWCA All-Academic Team for three years and the Big 12 All-Academic squad for four. Additionally, Muñoz was a three-year member of the FILA Junior World Wrestling Team, earning the silver medal in 1998.” He is due to fight in UFC 162 as the main card of the event against Tim Boetsch.
Team Munoz linked up with Wip Caps to make Mark new caps for the upcoming fight. The cap has a classic three tone, deep red, white and Navy colorway. The front logo has the Team Munoz logo embroidered in gold. The rear of the snapback cap has ‘Team Munoz’ embroidered above the opening. Its most distinct feature is the textured underbill, which has the signature MMA fence embroidered in red.
There’s going to be a viewing party held at Skinny Mike’s at the Fort on fight day, July 07, 2013 at 7:00am. We’ll be giving away prizes and you might just get to see the new WIP x TEAM MUNOZ cap yourself! Goodluck Mark! Show him some love and support by tweeting him at @mark_munoz!
