Harana Surf is a humble resort nestled in the tropical island paradise of Siargao. Established in 2015 by our friends Ian Sermonia and Mike 'Mooks' Medina, their business venture was fused with their passion for surfing, food, nature, friendship and caring for the local community.
No matter what the season, Siargao is definitely the place to be. Recently featured in TEN17P's film 'Siargao', the peaceful island contains many interesting venues and fascinating people from all walks of life. Harana is currently one of the top spots on the island, widely praised for the beautiful vernacular design found in their architecture, the delicious food and the best parties.
As part of their sustainability efforts, Harana also supports SISA: the Siargao Island Surfer's Association. Get lessons from Harana’s Surf school with their impressive roster of teachers like the top-ranked Alipayo Brothers or Manuel 'Wilmar' Melindo aka 'The Sexiest Man in Siargao'.
In line with this, they are directly involved with campaigns like SEA movement: the Siargao Environmental Awareness movement, helping maintain the island’s natural beauty despite its rapid growth. They are also part of Grom Nation: a group of volunteers focused in Burgos doing beach cleanups and giving surf lessons to the groms.
Harana continually supports these movements so some of the proceeds of the caps and dining at the restaurant will help aid them in supporting these meaningful causes.
